Core ResponsibilitiesThe Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides hands-on resident care in our skilled nursing setting, supporting comfort, dignity, and safe daily functioning. This role is essential to delivering consistent, high-quality care across the shift.
Key responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, personal hygiene, and mobility support; observing and reporting changes in condition; and following applicable laws, regulations, and life care standards.
Required qualifications/skills- High School diploma or GED
- Must be 18 years of age
- Completion of a state-approved CNA certification course
You’ll start by receiving a clear handoff and organizing priorities for the unit. Throughout the day, you’ll move room to room with purpose - staying attentive to call lights, comfort needs, and safety checks - while coordinating with nurses and therapy staff. You’ll document care promptly, communicate updates with professionalism, and help keep the environment calm and orderly. Shifts are 7a-7p or 7p-7a in Meridian, Mississippi, with a steady pace and frequent teamwork moments that keep care consistent from start to finish.
