Registered Nurse; RN Labor & Delivery- PRN

The Registered Nurse (RN) in Labor & Delivery provides compassionate, high-quality care to mothers and newborns throughout the labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum process. This position requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to respond quickly in a fast-paced environment. The RN works collaboratively with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe and effective patient care.

• Provide direct nursing care to laboring, postpartum, and newborn patients
• Monitor maternal and fetal well-being, including fetal heart monitoring
• Assist with labor, delivery, and recovery procedures
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered
• Perform newborn assessments and support postpartum care
• Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and newborn care
• Respond to emergent situations and patient needs
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Collaborate with physicians and care team members to ensure quality outcomes

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Mississippi (or eligibility to obtain)
• Experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, or Newborn Nursery preferred
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS and NRP certifications preferred (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
