Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Meridian, MS, for an Executive Chef at NORTHWOOD COUNTRY CLUB OF MERIDAN. The Executive Chef is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day kitchen operations, maintaining a high standard of food preparation, ensuring exceptional dining experiences, and managing kitchen staff. Responsibilities include developing menus, sourcing ingredients, adhering to budgetary guidelines, maintaining food safety standards, and leading the culinary team.

Collaboration with other departments to meet overall member and event needs is a key aspect of the role.

Qualifications
  • Professional culinary skills, including expertise in food preparation, menu planning, and presentation
  • Demonstrated experience in kitchen management, staff leadership, and training
  • Proven knowledge of food safety standards, inventory management, and cost control
  • Strong organizational, time management, and multi-tasking abilities
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with club members, team members and other departments
  • Creative problem-solving abilities and a commitment to continuously improving the culinary experience
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience in private clubs kitchens
  • Familiarity with menu trends and innovative culinary techniques to enhance guest experiences
