Role Overview

Responsible for operation of Cash Cage at a branch or location Exchange. May be assisted by one or two associates.

• Collects and issues money bags, cash funds and sub-custody receipts.
• Receives counts and verifies cash received with daily cash report; maintains log record of movement of money bags and cash funds issued.
• Responsible for all cash receipts turned in daily and obtains signature upon receipt.
• Prepares bank deposits of cash receipts and makes change funds for cash registers.
• Cashes payroll checks, personal checks, government checks, travelers checks, money orders, etc., assuring that proper identification is provided.
• Checks names against bad check list and/or social security number through TRW before processing the payment of personal checks.
• Receives counts and verifies monies received with daily cash reports for accuracy.
• Responsible and accountable for cash receipts.
• Ensures proper security procedures are followed in securing cash receipts.
• Maintains safe combinations.
• Maintains current list of bad checks by name, social security number, rank, and branch of service as necessary.
• Exercises tact, good manners, and courtesy when serving and assisting customers.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
