AID is looking for an HVAC Mechanic to work at Keesler AFB, MS.
The employee performs repair, overhaul, maintenance, and servicing of commercial, industrial, and residential heating, ventilating, and refrigeration air conditioning systems (HVACR). Skilled and certified in the repair of HVACR equipment and in the usage of moisture, temperature, pressure and flow measurement equipment for air and fluids. Keeps supervisor apprised of unique situations and problems encountered; identify and report safety environmental and other work requirements for resolution.
Responsibilities- Checks utility systems such as water and steam piping system for leaks or other problems such as waterlogged steam traps. Lubricate, grease oil & perform filter changes plus labeling of all lubrication points.
- Performs periodic inspections on HVAC systems: troubleshoots and locates malfunctions, diagnoses problems, and performs appropriate repairs.
- Adjusts,repairs,orreplacesthermostats,relays,switches,and airconditioningsystems electrical wiring.
- Repairsorreplacesrefrigerationcompressorsandcomponents,electricmotors,fans,belts,and pulleys andHVACcontrol air compressors.
- Services and repairs evaporators, condensers, and receivers. Repacks valves, lubricates moving parts,replaces filters, and cleans coils.

Include transformers, motors, electrodes, solenoids rheostats, and aquastats. - Utilizesandinterpretstechnicalmanuals,shopdirectives,blueprints,sketches, diagrams, and specifications, verbal and written
Instructions. - Responsible for completing dailywork order log documentinginspections, maintenance andrepair information,toincludeworkperformed,materials used and hours worked oneachassigned work order.
- Complies with state, local, Federal and project safety requirements.
- Wearsappropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by duties.
- Performsotherrelated duties as assigned.
- High Schooldiplomaorequivalency.
- Validstatedriver'slicense.
- Minimum Three(3) years ofexperienceinheating, ventilation,air-conditioning and refrigeration includingpreventativemaintenanceoperations.
- EPAUniversal Certification

Certification, EPA Type I and Type II Refrigerant Card
- Basicunderstandingofautomaticcontrolmonitoringsystems.
- Experiencetroubleshootingandrepairingchillersandboilers.
