The Manager, Feedstock Trading & Supply is responsible for procuring, trading, and growing renewable feedstock supply to support Seaboard Energy's biodiesel and renewable diesel operations. This role leads supplier development, feedstock origination, UCO collection acquisition growth, feedstock aggregation, and alternative feedstock development while optimizing supply costs, reliability, and margin performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procure and trade renewable feed stocks including UCO, greases, animal fats, vegetable oils, and emerging low-carbon feed stocks.
  • Negotiate supply agreements, manage supplier relationships, and execute purchasing strategies.
  • Develop new feedstock origination opportunities and expand direct-to-source supply channels.
  • Identify, evaluate, and support acquisition opportunities involving UCO collection businesses, aggregation assets, and strategic supply platforms.
  • Grow overall feedstock availability through supplier development, acquisitions, partnerships, and aggregation strategies.
  • Develop alternative feedstock opportunities, including pathway development and commercialization of new feedstock sources.
  • Monitor market trends, pricing, regulatory programs, and competitive supply dynamics.
  • Partner with Operations, Logistics, Compliance, and Sales to align feedstock procurement with production and commercial objectives.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, inventory planning, and feedstock market analysis.
Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Agriculture, Supply Chain, Economics, or related field or, 5+ years of experience in feedstock procurement, commodity merchandising, renewable fuels, or related industries.
  • Strong commercial negotiation, analytical, and relationship management skills.
  • Experience with UCO, fats, oils, greases, or renewable fuel feed stocks preferred.
  • Experience in feedstock aggregation, business development, acquisitions, or alternative feedstock development preferred.
  • Up to 25% travel to production sites required

IDEAL CANDIDATE

A results-oriented commercial professional who excels at building supplier relationships, identifying new feedstock opportunities, and driving supply growth through origination, acquisitions, aggregation, and alternative feedstock development. Strong market awareness, negotiation skills, and a bias for execution are essential.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position is primarily office-based and requires the ability to perform work while seated for extended periods. The role involves frequent use of a computer, including prolonged viewing of a monitor and continuous typing on a keyboard. Occasional walking within the office and light handling of documents or office supplies (under 15 lbs) may be required. The employee must have adequate visual acuity for reading and data entry and the ability to communicate effectively via phone, email, and in-person interactions.

Employees must be able to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) for their work areas.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work environment is in an office setting. Noise level varies from low to moderate levels.

NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE

Monday through Friday. The working hours and days of work are established by departmental needs and at the discretion of management. Occasional changes in schedule may be required as special circumstances arise.

Up to 25% travel required.
