Position OverviewAssist the Director of Finance/Controller with all accounting functions – including accounts payable, payroll support, accounts receivable and general bookkeeping – ensuring accuracy, compliance and confidentiality within a home health care environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Director of Finance/Controller with all accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance and confidentiality within a home health care environment.
- Administer full accounts payable cycle including invoice review, coding, data entry, payment processing and file maintenance.
- Reconcile vendor statements and communicate with vendors.
- Prepare and issue special request checks.
- Perform stop payments and reissue checks.
- Payroll & Related Functions
- Assist in payroll processing and data entry.
- Support weekly payroll activities including reimbursements.
- Process garnishments and reconcile accounts.
- Track timesheets and productivity.
- Accounts Receivable & Billing Support
- Monitor and research outstanding accounts.
- Assist with re‑billing and discrepancy resolution.
- Perform CHHA electronic postings in billing systems.
- General Accounting & Financial Support
- Assist with general ledger entries and reconciliations.
- Prepare financial analysis and spreadsheets.
- Assist with tax reporting and filings.
- Perform bank reconciliations.
- Maintain financial records.
- Additional Responsibilities
- Maintain financial files and documentation.
- Provide customer service to staff.
- Ensure confidentiality and compliance.
- Participate in QAPI initiatives.
- Assist with special projects and additional tasks.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping or payroll experience.
- Healthcare experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organization.
- Proficiency in accounting systems and Excel.
- Primarily sedentary with computer use.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
- Occasional light lifting (up to 10 lbs).
- Annual salary range: $65,000 – $95,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
