Position Summary: The Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District is seeking dynamic, student-centered part-time English teacher for a high school split position. Ideal candidates will have experience fostering a love of reading and writing, differentiating instruction for diverse learners, and integrating literacy strategies across the curriculum.

• Develop and deliver engaging, standards-aligned English lessons for students in grades 9-12
• Assess and support student learning through formative and summative assessments
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administration to support student success
• Participate in professional development and school initiatives
• Support a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment

• Valid New York State Certification in English (7-12) required
• Certification or training in Literacy and/or TESOL preferred
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills
• Experience integrating technology into instruction is a plus
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
