Maintainer (Anticipated Vacancy

Duties
:

• Extensive knowledge in the performance of repairing, troubleshooting and installation of refrigeration, plumbing and/or HVAC systems
• Use of a variety of hand and power tools in construction and maintenance of school facilities
• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner using a computerized work order system
• Snow removal as needed with the use of a plow truck
• Collaborate with other team members to prioritize and complete maintenance tasks efficiently

• Knowledge of construction and maintenance materials and methods
• Ability to use tools effectively
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions
• Physical strength and agility
• Strong knowledge of general maintenance procedures and techniques
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing various refrigeration and HVAC systems
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment safely and effectively
• Excellent problem-solving skills to quickly identify and resolve maintenance issues
• Good communication skills to interact with staff and contractors effectively
• Attention to detail to ensure all maintenance tasks are completed accurately and thoroughly
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Must be fingerprinted as part of the onboarding process

• Graduation from a vocational or trade school and/or
• One year of experience in performing routine maintenance tasks such as repairing/install refrigeration and HVAC systems
