Salon Stylist - Assisted Living

Job Summary

A Salon Stylist at Bell Tower Residence is compassionate and dependable. In this role, you will provide hands‑on barber / beauty services according to the resident's wants and needs while maintaining a pleasant environment in which to receive those services. The ideal candidate is patient, reliable, and committed to delivering high‑quality care to seniors and individuals in a residential setting.

• Performs all services required of a Salon Stylist including, but not limited to cutting, coloring, perming and styling resident's hair.
• Communicate any hair, skin or nail concerns to the nurse.
• Sets appointments with residents and/or families.
• Keep work areas clean and sanitized.
• Maintain necessary inventory of needed supplies.
• Maintain accurate records of services provided.
• Familiarize new residents with services available to them.
• Demonstrates time management and prioritization of tasks.
• Assist residents to and from salon as needed.
• Assist in maintaining environment that is in compliance with federal, state and local regulatory agencies.

Required:

• Must be licensed as a Barber and/or Cosmetologist in order to practice.
• Must have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience.
• Must have good communication skills
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English

Preferred:

• Prior experience as a Caregiver or CNA in a long‑term care setting
