Overview

Position Title: Welder / Fabricator - 1st Shift

Wage: $20.00 - $25.00/hour

Shift: 1st

Hours: 5:00am - 3:30pm (Monday - Thursday)

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and work instructions
• Plan, layout and sequence fabrication and welding operations
• Perform MIG and/or Flux-Core welding on various steel materials and thicknesses
• Fabricate and assemble metal components to specifications
• Set up welding equipment, jigs, fixtures, and tooling as needed
• Inspect finished welds and parts for correct size, weld quality, and overall accuracy
• Identify defects in welds and take corrective action to ensure quality standards
• Use grinders, saws, torches, and other metal finishing tools
• Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area
• Work efficiently in a high-mix / low-repetition environment
• Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and quality personnel to meet production goals

• Experience in MIG or Flux welding processes
• Working knowledge of blueprints
• Ability to develop, layout and plan sequence of operations
• Knowledge of weld defects and discontinuities

• Overtime available on Fridays

• Temporary $2.00 Premium on Fridays (after 40 working hours between Monday-Thursday)
• Temporary Double Time after 50 hours worked in a work week
