Up to $1,500 hiring bonus! Maintenance Technicians earn $29.46 to $33.26 per hour. We train and promote from within. Excellent low-cost health benefits. Retirement plan with employer-paid contributions. Paid vacation and 10 holidays.
Location:
Merrill, WI (Water Street, Windows Division).
- Run, maintain and repair all mechanical parts and machinery in a manufacturing facility
- Troubleshoot, install, replace, and repair machines and equipment including mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Assist with Motion Control, PLC, MMI, and HMI programming, troubleshooting, and repair
- Install electrical components such as conduit, wiring, motor controls, starters, VFD, and soft starts
- Dismantle machinery and equipment, locate cause of malfunctioning or mechanical breakdown, replace parts from stock, or fabricate replacement parts as needed
- Fabricate machine components for repairs and improvements of mechanical devices
- Effectively conduct and assess diagnostic tests to ensure optimum system functionality
- Assemble, install, and proactively maintain mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment for efficient operation
- Operate arc welder, cutting torch, hand tools, and forklift
- Fabricate, weld, mill, and lathe as needed
- Rig, lift, and move heavy equipment
- Perform general maintenance in a safe and efficient manner and maintain a clean work area
- Work may consist of various shifts and overtime including weekends and holidays during busy production times
- 2 years’ recent verifiable related work history or equivalent education
- Proficient in welding, cutting, and using hand tools for repairs
- Experience using motor control circuits, 480 volt 3-phase AC/DC motors, starters, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Working knowledge of pneumatics, pumps, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, and bearings
- Proven experience using forklift, man lift, and most rigging equipment
- Ability to recognize, report, and repair mechanical defects
- Industrial mill maintenance experience is a plus
