Welders-Robotic and/or Manual-Metal Mfg-10 hrs. (Mon-Thur)
Clean, well-lit atmosphere.
1st Shift (5am - 3pm or 6am - 4pm) Monday thru Thursday
2nd Shift (3pm - 1am) Monday thru Thursday w/ additional $2/hr. shift differential
Overtime is available as needed.
Job Type: Full-time Wage based on experience.
Goetsch's Welding & Machine, Inc. is currently seeking skilled and experienced Welders proficient in both manual and robotic welding techniques to join our team. As a Welder, you will be responsible for the fabrication and assembly of metal parts using various welding methods, ensuring high quality and precise work.
Responsibilities for Welders- Robotic or Manual:
- Manual welders tack weld parts in the preliminary bays prior to final or finishing in the welding bays.
Perform manual welding techniques to join and assemble metal components according to project specifications and blueprints. - Robotic welders load individual pieces into the jig to prepare for auto welding and remove from machine. Set up, program, and operate robotic welding machines to perform automated welding tasks with precision and efficiency. Robotic welders will tack weld as needed and manual weld to complete a part.
Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards, checking for proper fusion, penetration, and appearance.
Monitor and maintain welding machinery and equipment for proper functioning and report any malfunctions or needs for repairs.
- Collaborate with the production team to plan and execute welding projects, following project schedules and meeting deadlines.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents, injuries, and equipment damage during welding operations.
- Perform regular maintenance tasks on welding equipment, such as changing consumables or adjusting settings, to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain accurate records of welding activities, including materials used, welding times, and project progress.
- Continuously update welding techniques and stay informed about industry advancements to enhance skills and efficiency.
- Collaborate with other team members, including supervisors, engineers, and fabricators, in problem-solving and process improvement initiatives.
- Other duties may include: using a pallet jack, operate forklift, change spool of weld wire, material handling. Hand tools are used for measuring and clamping. Overhead crane often used.
- Robotic or Manual:
- Proven experience as a Welder, with a minimum of 1year of experience, preferred in both manual and robotic welding.
- Proficiency in various welding methods, as well as experience operating robotic welding machines.
- Familiarity with welding equipment and tools, and the ability to troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance on them.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality welds with excellent fusion, penetration, and appearance.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Strong knowledge of welding safety protocols and best practices.
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, and lift heavy materials for extended periods.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other stakeholders.
- Valid Welding Certification(s) are a plus.
