• The purpose of this position is to mount printing plates on cylinders / sleeves following customer specifications and company procedure in an accurate fashion so that press operators can achieve desired print registration and impression with ease and efficiency.

• Translate written and computer generated layout specifications into the requirements for mounting plates.
• Set up job using plate mounter.
• Prepare plates to be mounted. (Clean and or minor repair.)
• Apply plates using correct mounting tape.

• Planning
  - Coordinate with shift supervisor to plan mounting order.
• Documentation
  - Complete required forms and obtain required signatures.
• QC
  - With the help of shift supervisor, make sure job is mounted correctly. ( Job Check-off )

• Ability to perform with meticulous attention to detail.
• Must be able to read tape measure
• Can work with very small tolerances. (In the thousandths of an inch range.)
• Must have good math skills.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.

• Must be a high school graduate.
• Strong written and verbal skills and the ability to give attention to detail and follow-up in all areas.
• Prior experience in flexographic printing a plus.
