Elementary Main Office Secretary​/Clerk

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Demonstrates ability to work with students, staff and public,
• Has a positive outlook toward the school system, the school and co-workers,
• Exhibits a pleasant disposition,
• Previous evaluations from this school corporation,
• Internal candidates must have successfully completed Clerical Skills Proficiency and Skyward exams,
• External candidates must pass clerical & Skyward exams within the probationary period,
• High school diploma or equivalent,
• Interview with Building Administrator,

• Work along with other secretaries to coordinate student bus information
• Post daily attendance/tardy figures in Skyward in the absence of the attendance secretary
• Assists in keeping a record of 4th graders who will be transferring to MIS and sending those records to the school
• Responsible for collecting data concerning absences and tardies
• Assist parents, teachers and students at counter
• Answer telephones, assist in sorting and distributing mail
• Post signage for front marquee
• Administer first aid & give medication in absence of nurse and help with change of clothes for student accidents
• Assists with beginning and end of the year procedures
• Responsible for clerical work needed by the social worker(s)
• Responsible for student emergency cards and staff emergency calling list
• Create daily announcements
• Delivers items to classrooms as needed
• Any other duties assigned by Building Administrator
