Title Instructional Aide

QUALIFICATIONS:

Completed at least 2 years of study at an institution of higher learning, passed the paraprofessional exam to become highly qualified and/or obtained an associates degree or higher and met one of the following requirements:

• a. Work under the direct supervision of a classroom teacher.
• b. Assist in planning learning experiences for the students.
• c. Assist in the production of instructional materials and use of technology.
• d. Assist in implementing classroom routines such as storing materials and cleaning work areas.
• e. Assist in instruction-related clerical tasks including scoring of student products.
• f. Work with students on activities, while the teacher works with small groups of students.
• g. Helps in the monitoring of student learning.
• h. Tutor students to strengthen skills or concepts under the supervision of the teacher.
• i. Confer regularly with the classroom teacher about the programs and achievement of each student.
• j. Maintain confidentiality of student information/data.
• k. Help with the planning and implementation of after school parent meetings.
• l. Continuation of employment dependent upon Title 1 funding and program description.
• m. Successful interview with Building Principal.
