BP Energy seeks an Electrical Engineer to design and optimize power systems for traditional and low carbon projects. You'll perform load studies, protection coordination, and equipment specification while ensuring compliance with NEC, NESC, IEEE, and BP safety standards. In this collaborative role, you'll model and analyze power systems, support commissioning and troubleshooting, and help integrate renewable and distributed energy resources. Responsibilities

  • Design, analyze, and optimize electrical systems for BP Energy utility and low carbon projects
  • Develop single line diagrams, load studies, protection schemes, and equipment specifications
  • Support integration of renewable and distributed energy resources into existing grids
  • Ensure compliance with NEC, NESC, IEEE, and relevant utility and safety standards
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, reliable project solutions
  • Perform power system modeling, simulations, and technical reports
  • Support commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems in the field
  • Contribute to risk assessments, safety reviews, and hazard analyses
  • Provide technical input for vendors, contractors, and procurement activities
  • Participate in continuous improvement, innovation, and knowledge sharing initiatives

Required Skills

  • Power system analysis
