Access Abilities is seeking an experienced human services professional to serve as Lead Site Coordinator for our residential homes in Hammond and Schererville. This is a working leadership role responsible for overseeing daily site operations, supporting Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), and ensuring excellence in person-centered care and regulatory compliance.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced DSP Lead, Assistant Manager, or Residential Supervisor ready to take ownership of site-level performance and grow within a mission-driven organization.

Position Overview

The Lead Site Coordinator provides day-to-day operational leadership within assigned residential homes serving individuals with developmental disabilities. This role bridges direct care oversight, compliance management, and team supervision to ensure services are delivered safely, consistently, and in alignment with regulatory requirements.

This is a visible, hands-on leadership role requiring accountability, organization, and sound judgment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure services align with Person-Centered Individual Support Plans (PCISPs)
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, training, and accountability to DSP staff
  • Monitor and review documentation for accuracy and compliance
  • Oversee medication administration and health plan implementation
  • Coordinate scheduling, staffing coverage, and call-off management
  • Maintain readiness for state inspections and internal audits
  • Identify operational gaps and implement corrective action
  • Model professionalism, ethical leadership, and strong communication
Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in human services (supervisory experience strongly preferred)
  • Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Demonstrated leadership ability in a residential or similar setting
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and compliance knowledge
  • Ability to meet physical and operational requirements of residential services
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to meet background and screening requirements
  • Candidates with prior site leadership experience, multi-site exposure, or familiarity with state compliance standards are strongly encouraged to apply.
