Maintenance Lead 00 shift differential Off-shift

Maintenance Lead $40.50/hr., plus $1.00 shift differential for Off-shift + Monthly Incentive

We are looking for a Maintenance Lead to be based out of the Hobart facility. This role reports directly to the shift Maintenance Supervisor and is responsible for leading the maintenance team, establishing priorities, and performing preventive and corrective maintenance on plant machinery, auxiliary equipment, and other assets. The maintenance lead will also support the plant’s 5S program and maintain safety objectives in line with company standards.

• Evaluate systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed and their priority.
• Assist team members with technical issues or advanced problems per the given assignments.
• Prepare for production shift, ensuring proper changeover needs are being met.
• Work with the Maintenance and Production Supervisors to plan work priorities, obtain necessary supplies, and assess skills needed to complete tasks.
• Develop and execute Preventive Maintenance (PM), Predictive Maintenance (PdM), and Critical Parts List (CPL) programs on all assets located within the plant.
• Track and log all maintenance work, checklists, actual task durations, materials, and other resources used for maintenance purposes.
• Respond to emergency situations including the safety of plant facility and equipment using knowledge of the plant, machinery, and best practices.
• Operate mobile equipment such as fork trucks and manlifts.
• Ensure that all operating procedures, maintenance, repairs, and safety guidelines are being properly followed by personnel.
• Identify enhancement opportunities and suggest solutions for improvement to supervision.
• Conduct work in a manner consistent with Atkore’s mission statement, core values, and other standards of conduct.

• High School diploma or GED.
• A minimum of eight years of experience in maintenance.
• Ability to lift and manipulate up to 60 lbs.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours per day.
• Ability to read schematics and blueprints.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Basic understanding of power and control systems.

• Have gained certification in operating fork trucks and other mobile equipment.
• Learn basic tube mill process knowledge.
• Become effectively leading assigned maintenance crew.
