Mill Lead Operator

We are currently looking for a Mill Lead Operator to be based out of Hobart, IN. Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor this person will be responsible for the mill setup and performance to the highest quality standards and efficiencies. The Mill Lead will have extensive knowledge in all areas of tube making and related secondary processes. This person must also have a safety-first mindset and leadership traits that align with our Core Values.

A true sense of urgency and the will for continuous learning and improvement is vital.

• Safely and effectively operate the mill and all supporting stations from entry to bundling table
• Lead and participate in mill changeovers, setup, and operation
• Safely and effectively operate and maintain process in cleaning and coatings
• Communicate with and direct mill crew to achieve target goals, as well as support departments
• Troubleshoot equipment, product quality, and bottleneck issues
• Follow explicit customer specifications and ensure execution of such in the end product

• A safety conscious attitude
• At least three years experience in all facets of tube mill production at a very high level
• Excellent communication skills
• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred

• Familiarize yourself with all new equipment and processes
• Lead the mill team to ensure productivity demand is met
• Coordinate efforts with mill and maintenance management
• Lead production efforts in meeting customer needs
