Mill Operator 00 shift differential off-shift

Overview

Mill Operator position based in Hobart, IN. Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor, this role operates the mill station, supports changeovers, and maintains performance to meet high quality standards and efficiencies. Prior experience in manufacturing is preferred, with a background in tube mill production or steel-related fields helpful. A safety-first mindset and alignment with core values are essential.

• Safely and effectively operate the mill and all supporting stations from entry to bundling table
• Actively participate in mill changeovers and operation
• Safely and effectively operate and maintain the process in cleaning and coatings
• Communicate with other crew members to achieve target goals and support departments
• Troubleshoot equipment, product quality, and bottleneck issues, and maintain cleanliness
• Follow explicit customer specifications and ensure execution in the end product

• A safety-conscious attitude
• Background in industrial manufacturing or tube mill production or a steel-related field
• High school diploma or GED equivalent

• Familiarize yourself with all new equipment and processes
• Support team to ensure productivity demand is met
• Coordinate efforts with mill and maintenance management
• Focus production efforts in meeting customer needs
