We are seeking a passionate and experienced RN/LPN Nursing Supervisor to lead our team and provide exceptional care to our residents. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising all nursing units, ensuring high-quality care and maintaining a positive and supportive environment.
PositionSummary
The RN/LPN Nursing Supervisor will be responsible for directing and coordinating all nursing units, ensuring that residents receive the highest level of care. The successful candidate will have advanced training and broad nursing experience, including supervisory duties, administrative ability, and knowledge of training techniques.
Responsibilities- Verify daily staffing and redistribution as needed
- Make rounds to assess residents' conditions, providing special attention to critically ill residents
- Ensure that residents' nursing care plans are followed
- Perform medication passes and/or direct resident care as needed
- Answer emergencies throughout the shift
- Review incident and investigative reports for accuracy and completeness
- Perform other duties as requested
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current registered nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing
- Experience in the nursing field, especially in geriatric nursing
- Supervisory experience in long-term care is required
- Through knowledge of nursing techniques and practices
- Knowledge of medication, their proper dosage, and expected results
- Ability to coordinate and supervise nursing functions in an effective manner
- Ability to positively interact with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instruction in the English language
- Ability to recognize and identify symptoms and make decisions quickly in emergencies
- Ability to train subordinates in work procedures and organize and direct training carried out by members of the staff
- Ability to provide annual verification of a negative TB skin test
