We are seeking an inspection Sales Representative who will work to develop, maintain, and grow our inspection and service business within the fire protection and life safety market. This role focuses on building strong customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and managing the sales process from lead generation through closing. The Inspection Sales Representative will work closely with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and successful execution.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, construction management, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of sales experience, preferably in fire protection, life safety, construction, building services, or a related technical industry.
  • Experience in inspection, service, or project-based sales is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with fire sprinkler systems, fire alarms, and/or related life safety systems preferred (training can be provided for the right candidate).
  • Proven ability and determination to proactively contact customers and prospects, including cold calls and in-person visits.
  • Strong consultative selling skills, with the ability to identify customer needs and propose appropriate solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and .PDF editing software required.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities simultaneously.
  • Exceptional presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and customer focus.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required.
Responsibilities
  • Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities through prospecting, cold calling, networking, and follow-up on leads.
  • Provide excellent customer service to maintain and grow existing accounts, acting as a primary point of contact for inspection-related services.
  • Secure contracts by scheduling and conducting sales calls, delivering presentations, preparing proposals, and negotiating terms.
  • Consistently meet or exceed established sales goals and performance targets.
  • Develop and maintain positive, professional relationships with customers, general contractors, facility managers, and end users.
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates and competitive, well-presented proposals based on drawings, specifications, site visits, and customer information.
  • Track, manage, and follow up on all active opportunities in a timely manner to move them through the sales pipeline.
  • Collaborate with the New Construction Sales team during project turnover to ensure all materials, building layouts, system information, and key contacts are properly transferred, issuing a complete and accurate inspection/maintenance quote upon project completion.
  • Collaborate with the Inspection Department Manager and internal teams to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company services, inspection requirements, and basic code-related issues within the fire protection and life safety industry.
