We are seeking a dedicated Security Officer to join our team in Merrillville, IN. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting routine patrols of assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity. They will monitor and report irregularities such as security breaches, safety hazards, and emergency situations. The Security Officer will respond promptly to alarms and incidents, taking necessary action to ensure the safety of people and property.
They will enforce company policies and site-specific security procedures, maintaining a visible and professional presence at all times. Additionally, the Security Officer will write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of security activities. They will also assist in emergency situations, including evacuations and first aid if required.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screening in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Must be physically able to apply therapeutic restraints (after proper training) as required by client and perform foot patrols of the facility.
Must possess excellent verbal and written skills for de-escalating situations and reporting of incidents.
Security related certifications and/or prior experience preferred.
