CAD Designer

T&M Equipment is seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Electrical Designer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a hands‑on professional who can design, build, and support electrical systems in a fast‑paced industrial environment. The ideal candidate is a self‑starter, works well with others, and is comfortable both in the shop and out in the field.

• Minimum 3 years experience in electrical design or a related field
• Proficiency with AutoCAD or similar drafting software
• Experience with PLC programming preferred
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, components, and troubleshooting
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Self‑motivated with a strong work ethic
• Willingness to work days and occasional weekends as needed

• Develop detailed electrical drawings and schematics using AutoCAD
• Design and specify electrical components, including cabling systems, VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives), and radio controls
• Source and procure electrical components to support project needs
• Assemble and wire control panels, push‑button stations, and configure/program radio systems
• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, providing timely support for service calls
• Provide guidance and technical support to shop electricians during fabrication and installation
• Conduct site visits to evaluate projects, support installations, and ensure design accuracy
• Develop and implement Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programming for system automation
• Design and troubleshoot specialized circuits, including tandem, synchronization, and anti‑sway systems
• Prepare accurate and comprehensive bills of materials (BOM) for all projects
