Fund Accountant – VC Fund Administration

Responsibilities

• Reconcile banking transactions and prepare journal entries in accordance with US GAAP
• Calculate and assist with capital calls, distributions, and investor allocations.
• Track portfolio investments and cash activity.
• Support preparation for quarterly and annual financial reporting, including schedules and support for footnotes.
• Assist with audit and tax results, including preparation of support for K-1 reporting and results.
• Support client service team by preparing accurate and timely results.
• Maintain fund and investor data within fund administration systems.
• Coordinate internally to ensure deadlines and client expectations are met.
• Escalate issues and questions appropriately to senior team members.

• 2–4 years of fund accounting, public accounting, or financial services experience.
• Exposure to investor related documents such as LPAs, subdocs, capital account statements, etc.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with venture capital or private equity funds.
• Experience with fund accounting platforms (Allvue, Investran, Quick Books, etc.)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, and experience in a client-facing role supporting multiple clients.
• CPA certification, an MBA, or similar relevant experience is a plus.
