The Merrimack School District is looking to hire an Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment, with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2026.
The Assistant Superintendent is an integral part of the SAU and District Leadership team, collaborating with staff and stakeholders at all levels. This role also includes working collaboratively as a core member of the district's leadership team to support and guide effective school district operations. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of curriculum at all levels PreK-12, with a positive approach to blending current practices with innovative new learning and curriculum.
The Assistant Superintendent will be responsible for facilitating professional learning opportunities for staff, as well as overseeing various district programs including, but not limited to ESOL, and Title I.
The Merrimack School District offers a competitive salary and benefits package commensurate with experience. This is a full-time, year-round position with an annual evaluation by the Superintendent of Schools.
Qualifications:
* Active New Hampshire Assistant Superintendent or Superintendent certification preferred;
Curriculum Administrator certification considered.
* Master's Degree in Educational Leadership, Curriculum Administration, or a related field.
* Minimum of five years of teaching experience
* Three years or more of administrator experience at the building level preferred
* Extensive knowledge and experience with state legislation, New Hampshire certification
* requirements, federal program requirements, and grant management
* Strong leadership skills with a focus on school improvement, instructional best practices, and data-driven decision-making.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a positive, innovative, and results-oriented approach
* Proficiency in educational technology and its application in modern instructional practices
