What will you get to do?- Support project teams in multiple capacities including design of mechanical systems, fabrication drawings, BOMs, schematics, assembly drawings, etc.
- Communicate optimally within a team environment.
- Coaching and mentoring junior team members.
- Work to deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Provide mentorship to junior engineers.
- Participate in client meetings and internal engineering design reviews.
- Generate content for project proposals, including developing concepts and estimating effort and equipment cost.
- Support technicians in solving problems and offering solutions during machine build.
- BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university, plus equivalent experience.
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in a design engineering role with experience indirectly coaching and guiding junior team members.
- Strong written and verbal communications, organizational and time management skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work and support a team environment.
- Familiarity with motion systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, robots, etc.
- Experience as a user of CAD packages;
Solid Works preferred. - Use of engineering tools such as Mathcad, Ansys, or equivalent FEA packages is a plus.
- Experience designing mechanisms for automation, complex electro‑mechanical systems, and/or mechanical solutions that require a high level of precision is a plus.
