The Role
Do you enjoy working with numbers, staying organized, and approaching tasks with analytical precision and attention to detail? Are you passionate about accurate transaction reporting and effective communication?

In this role, you will be primarily responsible for accounting for FMR LLC and subsidiaries’ corporate investments, including recording, reconciling, analyzing, and reporting investment balances and transactions (e.g., purchases, sales, income, market value changes), as well as coordinating with vendors. You will ensure accurate and complete daily recording of all investment activity into the investment accounting systems for posting to the general ledger.

You will collaborate with Corporate Accounting, Fund Accounting, and Treasury, while contributing to system improvements—upgrading Invest One, implementing a new investment accounting platform, and enhancing reporting capabilities. This position offers exposure to a wide range of investments and accounting methodologies in support of the Fidelity Investment portfolio.

You will also assist with recurring and ad hoc requests, financial reporting, and participate in projects and process efficiency initiatives.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and internal controls
  • Familiarity with alternative investments and digital assets preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to build and maintain constructive relationships with business partners
  • Solid understanding of finance and accounting principles, with a strong sense of accountability and ownership
  • Detail‑oriented while maintaining a broad perspective on business objectives
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet tight deadlines
  • Capacity to grasp complex organizational and ownership structures
  • Highly motivated, flexible, and quality‑focused team player with strong organizational skills
  • Willingness to learn financial systems and multi‑dimensional reporting tools
  • Highly proficient in Excel
  • Demonstrated process improvement mindset
  • Flexibility to work extended hours during month‑end close
The Value You Deliver
  • Actively participate in the daily recording and processing for FMR LLC Investment Portfolio activity.
  • Support the accounting team in preparation for quarterly financial statement preparation
  • Implement and enhance processes to improve reporting quality and reduce manual work
  • Conduct investment accounting research and provide management with clear analysis, recommendations, and conclusions
