Position OverviewThe Logistics Specialist is responsible for coordinating domestic and international shipments that support production, deployment, and sustainment of radar systems and spare parts. This role ensures timely and compliant movement of materials while working closely with Global Trade Compliance, Field Services, Operations, and external logistics partners. The ideal candidate is a detail‑oriented logistics professional with experience managing complex shipments and navigating U.S. and international trade requirements.
WhatYou Will Do
- Plan, coordinate, and execute end-to-end transportation for radar systems, LRUs, and spare parts, including oversized, hazardous, high-value, and export‑controlled hardware.
- Coordinate daily execution with freight forwarders, carriers, brokers, and third‑party logistics providers to maintain delivery commitments and resolve shipment issues.
- Prepare and review shipping documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, BOLs, AWBs, certificates of origin, and related paperwork.
- Work closely with Global Trade Compliance to confirm ECCNs, validate HTS classifications, understand licensing requirements, and ensure accurate export/import documentation.
- Support classification activities by gathering product details, coordinating with engineering or program teams, and ensuring materials needed for trade compliance reviews are complete.
- Partner with Field Services to align shipments with installation, repair, deployment, and sustainment schedules; support field returns and urgent needs.
- Monitor shipment status, identify potential delays, and coordinate recovery actions with internal teams and logistics partners.
- Support customs clearance activities by coordinating with brokers, providing required documentation, and helping resolve regulatory or documentation discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate logistics and shipment data in ERP systems (SAP preferred) to ensure compliance, traceability, and audit readiness.
- Analyze transportation performance, identify recurring issues, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the logistics team.
- Perform additional logistics‑related tasking as assigned to support operational and program needs.
You Must Have
- University degree and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience, or Advanced Degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience.
- Demonstrated experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain.
- Strong understanding of domestic and international transportation processes, export documentation, and trade regulations (ITAR, EAR).
- Experience handling complex or regulated shipments in aerospace, defense, or similar industries.
- Proficiency with ERP and logistics systems; SAP experience strongly preferred.

- Experience supporting remote or field‑service operations.
- Knowledge of hazardous materials regulations (IATA, DOT, IMDG).
- Familiarity with radar systems, electronics hardware, or similar high‑reliability products.

Salary Range
86,800 USD - 165,200 USD.
