Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Senior Test Technician to join a growing electronics manufacturing team. In this role, you will perform advanced electrical and functional testing, troubleshooting, and analysis of printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs), electronic modules, and finished products. You will work closely with engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure products meet performance and reliability standards while supporting continuous process improvements.

Responsibilities
  • Perform functional and electrical testing on PCB assemblies, cable assemblies, and electronic products.
  • Troubleshoot failures to the component, circuit, and subsystem level using electronic test equipment.
  • Operate oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, logic analyzers, signal generators, power supplies, and other diagnostic tools.
  • Perform firmware loading, software configuration, calibration, and system verification.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and collaborate with engineering on corrective actions.
  • Support first article inspections and New Product Introduction (NPI) builds.
  • Assist with developing and improving test procedures, fixtures, and documentation.
  • Record test results, failure data, and corrective actions in manufacturing systems.
  • Ensure compliance with IPC, ESD, and quality standards.
  • Maintain and verify calibration of test equipment.
  • Train and mentor junior technicians while providing technical support to production teams.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Test Technician in electronics manufacturing or an EMS environment.
  • Strong understanding of analog and digital electronics and PCB troubleshooting.
  • Experience using oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, logic analyzers, power supplies, and other electronic test equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, engineering drawings, PCB layouts, and technical documentation.
  • Experience with SMT and through-hole soldering and rework.
  • Familiarity with ICT, flying probe, automated test equipment (ATE), or boundary scan testing is highly preferred.
  • Experience with firmware loading, calibration, and embedded systems testing is a plus.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) builds.
  • Knowledge of scripting or programming languages such as Python, LabVIEW, or C#.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Ability to mentor less experienced technicians.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity for handling electronic assemblies.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to work in an ESD-controlled manufacturing environment.
