The Supplier Quality Engineer II impacts customer satisfaction and continual improvement through monitoring, managing, and resolving issues related to supplier quality performance. This role develops supplier relationships, audits supplier capabilities and quality systems, manages supplier corrective actions, handles non-conforming material issues, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to improve supplier quality, delivery, and performance.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct Source Inspections, Incoming Receiving Inspections, and Material Surveys.
- Evaluate and qualify suppliers for the Approved Supplier List (ASL).
- Manage Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs) and RCCA activities.
- Issue and disposition Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCRs).
- Monitor supplier metrics and develop Return-to-Green plans.
- Lead supplier qualification, development, and Zero Defect Programs.
- Conduct supplier audits and risk assessments.
- Review manufacturing processes and identify improvement opportunities.
