About the Opportunity
We’re recruiting for an established steel fabrication company looking to add an experienced AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to its quality team.
This is a hands‑on position suited to a CWI with a strong welding background who enjoys working closely with production teams and ensuring high standards are maintained throughout the fabrication process.
What You’ll Be Doing- Carry out dimensional and visual inspections
- Complete Inspection & Test Plans and QC documentation
- Monitor welding activities and verify procedures
- Inspect fabricated components against drawings and specifications
- Identify and document quality issues
- Perform NDT where qualified
- Maintain accurate inspection records
- Work closely with production and quality teams
- Provide technical support when required
- Assist with training and supporting other team members
- AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)
- 5+ years of welding experience
- Structural steel or heavy fabrication experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
- Strong understanding of measurements, tolerances and fabrication processes
- Good attention to detail and documentation skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Physically capable of performing the requirements of the role
Additional Experience...
Experience with
NDT or additional inspection qualifications would be advantageous.
