Role SummaryThe Lead Supervisor is an integral part of the store’s overall success; modeling the behaviors needed to directly impact all aspects of our company’s business:
Sales and Operational Processes. This individual demonstrates exemplary performance behaviors, representing Coach at the highest standards and showing the ability to adapt to all roles within the store environment.
- Understand organizational objectives and make decisions in partnership with Store Manager(s) and Assistant Store Manager(s) that align with Company priorities and values.
- Endorse, model and develop the team to deliver Coach’s Selling and Service expectations.
- Enforce sales strategies, initiatives and growth across all categories.
- Work with Store Manager(s) and/or Assistant Store Manager(s) to flex store business strategies and personal selling techniques to contribute to overall store and financial results.
- Leverage floor supervisor assignment responsibilities to deliver strong metrics; remain results‑driven through team selling and selling to multiple customers.
- Hold sales team accountable for personal sales (Productivity Management).
- Maximize clienteling strategy in partnership with Store Manager(s) and Assistant Store Manager(s); monitor process over time to achieve business goals and objectives.
- Build credibility and trust with team and customers, serving as a personal fashion advisor to deliver business results.
- Create positive impressions with store team and customers by presenting yourself professionally in line with Coach’s Guide to Style.
- Act as a brand ambassador in the local market/mall to drive brand loyalty and business (e.g., charity events, local associations, mall initiatives).
- Be sensitive to customer and team needs and tailor approach by reading cues.
- Be solution‑oriented and forward‑thinking in resolving customer issues; partner with Store Manager(s) and/or District Manager as appropriate.
- Develop product knowledge and stay aware of current collections.
- Understand the positive sales impact staffing has on the business and recruit accordingly.
- Coach, develop and motivate the team on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to meet goals and utilize Company tools; delegate and empower others and encourage individual growth.
- Welcome feedback and adapt behaviors; create short‑ and long‑term goals to achieve personal metrics and performance development.
- Provide regular constructive feedback to others; coach performance to a higher standard.
- Manage daily operational tasks according to Coach standards, switching gears based on the needs of the business, both seamlessly and proactively.
- Demonstrate strong business acumen.
- Interact and communicate with supervisors on a regular basis; remain adaptable, flexible, calm and professional.
- Maintain interior and exterior upkeep of the building in partnership with corporate office.
- Use all retail systems and reporting tools to make informed decisions, taking appropriate partners as necessary.
- Adhere to all applicable Coach retail policies and procedures, including POS and Operations procedures.
- Leverage Coach’s tools and technology to support relationship building and clienteling efforts, driving sales and achieving individual and team goals.
- Ensure all daily tasks are completed without negatively impacting service of Coach standards.
- Experience: 1–3 years of previous retail experience (cashier/stock, sales, etc.), preferably in a luxury retail environment; knowledge of fashion trends and competition.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
- Technical: Knowledge of cash register systems, basic computer skills (iPad/laptop, Mobile POS, Internet), use of walkie‑talkie, reading price and product release sheets.
