Software Development Engineer in Test

We are seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join an agile team focused on engineering excellence in Capital Markets and Brokerage Technology.

This role emphasizes test-driven development (TDD), continuous integration/delivery, and collaboration across technical and business teams.

The ideal candidate will have a strong development background and a proactive approach to teamwork and delivery.

• Design, develop, document, and execute manual and automated tests for trading applications.
• Collaborate with technical teams to improve processes, protocols, and standards.
• Develop automated tests and software tools aligned with business requirements.
• Apply test-driven design principles to debug and validate automated solutions.
• Deliver maintainable and accurate test automation code.
• Prioritize and execute system testing efforts in collaboration with project teams.
• Use SQL to mine and manipulate data for test scenarios.
• Define and maintain automated regression tests for ongoing and future projects.
• Document and report system testing issues using standard defect tracking tools.
• Identify and escalate defects appropriately.
• Support Agile/Scrum implementation within the team.

• Minimum 5 years of software development experience.
• Proficient in Java, Spring, and RESTful services.
• Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Serenity, and Cucumber.
• Familiarity with Jira and Jira Align.
• Knowledge of brokerage trading (Equities, Short Trading, Options, Fixed Income).
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Experience with TSO/3270 Mainframe – a plus.
• Experience with Web Services, Ready
  
  API, or Rest Assured – a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Ability to mentor and support test automation adoption across teams.
