Principal Full Stack Engineer

The Brokerage Technology Trades Processing & Settlements Team in Fidelity Wealth Technology is looking for a Principal Full Stack Engineer to collaborate and deliver top quality scalable systems solutions. You will serve as a Technical Lead working closely with the Tech Lead, Product Owners, and Architects to define and implement technical strategies and design solutions.

You will be responsible for designing and building high-quality solutions that align with the technology blueprint and standard development processes. This includes collaborating closely with architects to solve complex business challenges and contributing significantly to design strategies and development efforts to ensure quality outcomes. Leveraging your business knowledge, you will translate divisional initiatives into effective software solutions by developing sophisticated or multi-component applications and evaluating alternative approaches.

Additionally, you will analyze and recommend improvements to development policies, procedures, standards, and strategies, providing valuable insights to both technical experts and management.

Technical Stack (Must Be Expert-Level)

• AWS (5–8+ years real production experience)
• Java / Spring Boot

The Purpose

The Principal Software Engineer in Fidelity Brokerage technology is responsible for design and development of highly available, scalable and distributed data platforms to process high volume, high velocity and wide variety of structured data.

The Principal Software Engineer will also be a technical lead for the team and have responsibility for solution design, solving key technical challenges and mentoring the team.

The Skills You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field required
• 10+ years strong proficiency in Java, Spring Framework, Kafka development environment;
  Use (CI/CD) Jenkins pipeline
• Experience leading a team
• Proficient in designing micro services by applying software design patterns, twelve-factor app methodology, and SOLID principles
