Role & ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a Construction Superintendent for a cutting‑edge space launch facility — an exceptional opportunity for someone with commercial construction experience looking to advance their career in aerospace infrastructure support. This role is critical to the safe, on‑schedule delivery of launch site construction and site improvement projects, operating across both day and night 12‑hour shifts.
- Oversee daily on‑site construction activities, coordinating subcontractors, crews, and trade partners to keep work on schedule and within scope
- Enforce strict safety protocols and ensure OSHA compliance across all active work areas on the launch site
- Conduct regular site walks, progress inspections, and quality control checks to verify work meets project specifications and client standards
- Manage shift handoffs between day and night crews, ensuring seamless communication of active work, outstanding issues, and priority items
- Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and RFIs; coordinate resolution with project management and engineering teams
- Track daily field reports, manpower logs, equipment utilization, and material deliveries; elevate delays or conflicts to the project manager
- Maintain site safety plans, incident logs, and toolbox talk documentation in accordance with site and company requirements
- Coordinate with client representatives and site operations personnel to ensure construction activities comply with active launch facility protocols
- 5+ years of construction superintendent experience in commercial, industrial, or heavy civil construction
- Demonstrated experience managing multi‑trade crews and subcontractors on large‑scale projects
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA safety standards and the ability to enforce a zero‑incident safety culture
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and schedules
- Experience managing 12‑hour shift operations, including day/night crew coordination and handoff procedures
- Proficiency with field reporting tools and construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, or equivalent)
- Reliable transportation to the Merritt Island, FL job site; willingness to travel to site location
- Experience on aerospace, defense, or mission‑critical infrastructure projects
- OSHA 30‑hour certification
- Familiarity with government or federal contractor site security and badging requirements
- Background in working within operational or restricted facilities with active industrial processes
