Job Summary
Supervise, coordinate, and manage all permit and plan activities for the division. Track and monitor permits with regulatory agencies, compile supporting documentation, maintain reports, and collaborate with Facilities Engineering, Construction teams, and external stakeholders to support Blue Origin's spaceflight infrastructure projects.
Agency Experience Required
Candidates must have experience permitting with:
Space Florida, NASA, Brevard County, St. Johns River Water Management District, City of Cocoa, and City of Titusville.
Responsibilities
Coordinate the permit application process by obtaining and logging documents from engineers, architects, contractors, and vendors.
Review application packages and supporting documents from the Facilities Engineering/Construction team for accuracy and completeness.
Act as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies to track approvals and ensure timely processing of permits from approval to Certificate of Occupancy (CO).
Prepare and submit application statuses to agencies, stakeholders, and boards having jurisdiction.
Daily enter, maintain, and update permitting data, schedules, and company files for site plans, product approvals, and licenses.
Partner with field teams to troubleshoot and resolve inspection or permitting issues to meet project closing dates.
Qualifications
Education: Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience: 7+ years in the construction industry and/or technical construction project management. Experience with manufacturing/industrial facility construction and amenity permitting is preferred.
Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, ability to prioritize high-volume workloads under pressure, and ability or willingness to learn to read blueprints/plot plans.
Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted as a refugee or granted asylum.
