Construction Permit Coordinator

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Permit Coordinator to supervise, coordinate, and manage all permit and plan activity. Duties include tracking and monitoring permits with regulatory agencies, compiling supporting documents, updating and maintaining reports, preserving files, and communicating with partners, stakeholders, officials, regulatory agencies, and Facilities Engineering/Construction teams.

Candidate must have permitting experience with the following agencies:
Space Florida, NASA, Brevard County, St. Johns River Water Management District, City of Cocoa, City of Titusville.

Key responsibilities include obtaining and logging documents from Engineers, Architects, Contractors, and Vendors to coordinate the permit application process; confirming and tracking all required approvals for permits; acting as liaison between the company and each agency throughout the full permitting process; preparing and submitting application status updates to agencies, partners/stakeholders, and boards having jurisdiction over required permits and approvals; reviewing applications and packages issued by the Facilities Engineering/Construction team along with all supporting documents for accuracy;

confirming all start packages are complete; coordinating paperwork and applications with outside consultants and contractors as necessary; working closely with agencies on permit status and ensuring timely processing; producing and maintaining schedules for all projects; coordinating with regulatory agencies from permit approval through final stages (Certificate of Occupancy); entering, maintaining, and updating permitting data daily; printing and preparing template packages for the Facilities Engineering/Construction team;

verifying inspections are completed and conditions resolved to obtain Certificates of Occupancy; maintaining all company files related to site plan applications, product approvals, licenses, and permits; and communicating regularly with the Facilities Engineering/Construction team to troubleshoot and resolve field issues and ensure project closings are met.

Qualifications include a minimum high school diploma or equivalent, minimum 7 years in the construction industry and/or technical construction project management experience preferred, experience with manufacturing/industrial facility construction and amenity permitting preferred; willing to train the right candidate, must be able and/or willing to learn how to read blueprints and plot plans, strong organizational skills, time management, and consistent attention to detail, ability to prioritize, take initiative, and work independently as well as part of a team, comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment with a heavy volume workload, and must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident (Green Card holder).
