Salary: $16.75 hourly. Central Area/Merritt Island. Part-time/2 hours daily (mornings and afternoons) on school days.
Job Summary: Performs entry‑level protective service work ensuring the safe and orderly crossing of school‑age children at his/her assigned location.
RequirementsNo formal education, training, or experience is required. Experience as a crossing guard or other work with elementary school‑age children is preferred.
Special RequirementsMust be of good moral character as determined by a personal background investigation.
Must be able to pass the Brevard County Performance Checklist for School Crossing Guards prior to assuming duties.
Must have a working home telephone or personal cell phone.
In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man‑made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
