This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.
In this role you will provide manufacturing direction on the integration of components for New Glenn. This role will require you to demonstrate your ability to proactively improve design for manufacturability, eliminate barriers, and tackle unforeseen technical problems.

- Develop manufacturing work instructions to clearly define manufacturing processes for assemblies and installations.
- Closely manage build sequence and schedule of hardware throughout the entire manufacturing process.
- Perform engineering drawing review and provide final approval for manufacturing.
- Design tooling and fixtures to aide the manufacturing process.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and bring the improvement to the production floor
- Define and support repair and rework activities.
- Perform root cause analyses when non-conformances and escapes are identified and deploy corrective actions.
- Manage hardware configuration and maintain pedigree.
- Prioritize hardware procurement and fabrication and communicate these priorities to the team.
- Extreme customer focus combined with strong verbal and written communication.
- Bachelor of Science or equivalent in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university.
- 2+ years of direct manufacturing and manufacturing engineering experience.
- Understanding of engineering fundamentals for mechanical design and manufacturing including solid understanding of GD&T.
- Ability to manage a manufacturing bill of materials (MBOM), author work instructions, and disposition non-conforming material on the production floor
- A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with teams of skills across large geographic distances.
- Strong written, personal, technical, and software skills (CAD, Scheduling, Issue Tracking, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc).
- Ability to develop processes to industry quality systems such as AS9100.
- Experience with aircraft, launch vehicle, spacecraft, or satellite development, production, or operations.
- Experience with tooling design, fabrication, and procurement
- Self-directed and able to balance several tasks at once.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD programs (Creo Pro/E & CATIA preferred)
