This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which includes Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance, and supports Manufacturing and Supply Chain across all Blue Origin facilities.

As part of a team of Quality specialists, you will support internal health assessments, continuous improvement efforts, and actionable metrics to drive sustainable improvement. You will monitor and report on manufacturing performance, support the development of control plans and first article inspections, provide preliminary reviews for nonconformance, initiate and perform stock recalls, manage material review areas, and support work order closure reviews for various spaceflight systems.

You will contribute to all aspects of manufacturing and launch of New Glenn hardware.

Responsibilities
  • Support internal health assessments and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Maintain actionable metrics to drive sustainable improvement.
  • Monitor and report on manufacturing performance.
  • Develop control plans and first article inspections.
  • Provide preliminary reviews for nonconformance and initiate/perform stock recalls as needed.
  • Manage material review areas and support work order closure reviews for spaceflight systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support manufacturing and launch activities.
Qualifications
  • Quality inspection and/or specialist experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO
    9001 Quality Management System and/or related quality programs.
  • Ability to support manufacturing schedules for B-Shift operations throughout the week.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Desired
  • Aerospace, space launch, military or commercial aviation experience.
  • Experience in startup environments transitioning a product from development to production/operations.
  • Experience in AS9145, Advanced Product Quality Planning and Production Part Approval Process.
  • Quality performance measurement analysis capabilities (SPC).
  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certification.
