Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight! This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single‑configuration, heavy‑lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low‑Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond.

Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human‑capable.

As part of a small, hard‑working, and accomplished team of experts you will lead the design, development, and test of various spaceflight systems. You will share toward the team’s impact on all aspects of structures, mechanical systems, and operation. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention toward safe and repeatable spaceflight.

This role is to support the 3rd shift operations, ensuring continuity and efficiency in the development and testing processes. Responsibilities
  • Applies engineering techniques to design, install, modify, analyze, and repair structural and mechanical systems hardware.
  • Interpret engineering models, drawings, specifications, work instructions and test procedures to support nondconformance review assessments.
  • Support integration activities, such as identifying available work and resolving roadblocks for integration tasks.
  • Use 3D CAD programs and FEA tools to analyze pressurized systems and primary/secondary structures.
  • Release, and support engineering artifacts across the product life cycle to support hardware fabrication, assembly, verification, test and operations.
  • Implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.
  • Research and analyze customer production proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.
  • Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.
  • Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation, and make recommendations to maintenance crew.
Minimum Qualifications
  • B.S. degree or higher in Mechanical, Aerospace, or similar engineering field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience supporting production and integration of mechanical system elements within aerospace, defense, automotive, or similar industry.
  • Proven success supporting review assessments and analysis for nondconformance.
  • Experience with production support.
  • Proficiency with 3D modeling tools.
  • Experience with GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
  • Knowledge of fabrication, integration processes, and quality control relative to mechanical and structural hardware.
  • Experience and ability to work independently on rapid development programs.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in primary structures design.
  • Experience in aerospace deployable devices design such as doors, landing gear or sensors.
  • Experience in aerospace hydraulic system component design or system architecture design.
  • Experience in Creo (Pro‑E).
  • Experience in structural FEA using ANSYS, NASTRAN or similar tools.
  • Experience leading at least one multi‑person development project, leading requirements, priorities, scope, schedule, cost, and communications.
