Overview

Amazon Leo is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite network. Our mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet connectivity to customers beyond the reach of existing networks, including individual households, schools, hospitals, businesses, and government agencies that operate in locations without reliable connectivity.

Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, a U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

• Act as the focal point for special projects related to space hardware and launch processing.
• Coordinate inputs and outputs to Launch Operations for internal and externally facing initiatives.
• Work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure successful processing of space hardware for unique and highly ambiguous projects involving launch vehicles, satellite dispensers, and payloads.
• Provide technical leadership, guiding testing requirements, assembly/integration work‑cell design, facility and equipment planning, integration and test application implementation, process control, design for manufacturability, project management, and tooling design.
• Serve as the Launch Operations liaison for external vendor relationships and as a point of contact for Launch Provider, Dispenser provider, and Payload Processing Facility leadership.
• Collaboratively challenge assumptions and requirements from other departments, such as dynamics, thermal analysis, design engineering, and tooling engineering.
• Leverage extensive experience in space hardware integration and test, focusing on satellite-to‑dispenser and/or launch vehicle integration.

• 5+ years of technical product or program management experience.
• 7+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams.
• 3+ years of software development experience.
• 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams.
• Experience managing programs across cross‑functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules.

• 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical path management.
• Experience managing projects across cross‑functional teams, building sustainable processes, and coordinating release schedules.
• Experience defining KPIs/SLA’s used to drive multi‑million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership.

Base salary range: $ – $ USD annually (USA, FL, Merritt Island). Total compensation includes sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).
