This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance.

It provides manufacturing and supply‑chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

This job is based in Cape Canaveral, FL.

Responsibilities

The Launch Vehicle Manager (LVM) will coordinate and complete sophisticated technical projects, orchestrating the refurbishment, upgrade, and pre‑launch preparations of a New Glenn Booster. The LVM will develop the schedule, coordinate assets, lead execution of post‑flight vehicle health checks, and be responsible for all planned and unplanned activities across the vehicle. The LVM will iterate on the published detailed plan to achieve flight‑readiness by the manifested launch date, working closely with dozens of technicians and engineers on both overall strategic flow management and day‑to‑day tactical planning.

The LVM will implement the plan and react swiftly to emergent issues, culminating in a Go/No‑Go recommendation on readiness for stage integration and flight.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 4+ years of demonstrated technical expertise in the operation or maintenance of military aviation, aerospace, marine, automotive, or ground support systems in one or more of the following subject areas: propulsion, pneumatics, cryogenics, avionics, hydraulics, life support, test engineering, launch operations.
  • Outstanding technical communication abilities, both written and verbal, to audiences with varying backgrounds.
  • Unwavering dedication to “doing every job right,” no matter how small.
  • Strong planning, organization, and coordination skills in a real‑time operations environment.
  • Ability to solve multiple subsystem issues while maintaining situational awareness of the integrated system impacts.
  • Ability to support occasional off‑shift work schedules during launch campaigns.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to an inclusive culture.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of demonstrated technical expertise in the operation or maintenance of aerospace, marine, automotive, or ground support systems in one or more of the following subject areas: propulsion, pneumatics, cryogenics, avionics, hydraulics, life support, test engineering, launch operations.
  • Experience operating or maintaining vehicles in aerospace, land, or marine environments.
  • Experience developing, writing, and updating operating procedures.
  • PMP certification.
