As an Aerospace Systems Engineer you will design and engineer the overall systems infrastructure, including engineering, implementation, integration, and technical services and support. You will design, install, maintain, and administer infrastructures comprised of hardware, software, and configuration, and work with others to improve processes and procedures.
Responsibilities- Apply applied systems engineering to system definition, systems test, system integration, system safety, operations, and system verification for fluid, mechanical, propulsion, and electrical systems.
- Decompose internal customer requirements into test system requirements specifications, maintaining bi‑directional traceability.
- Develop and manage interfaces through requirements and Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and drawings.
- Lead and present at major gated reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR) on system technical readiness and status of Systems Engineering deliverables.
- Own verification and validation planning, traceability, and completion through test plan creation and Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs).
- Active Top Secret clearance (preferred) or Secret clearance (acceptable).
- B.S. degree in engineering or another technical field.
- Degree earned within the last year and ability to start by Fall 2026.
- Experience in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering on complex systems.
- Ability to break down complex problems into traceable tasks and communicate project status concisely.
- Relevant internship or co‑op experience demonstrating technical skills and leadership qualities.
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive relationships, and strengthen an inclusive culture.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team on rapid development programs.
- Flexible and adaptable mindset.
- Self‑driven with the ability to seek out requirements with minimal direction.
- M.S. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience with requirements development/management tools such as Jama.
- Experience with systems engineering modeling tools such as Rhapsody or Cameo.
- Experience with Model‑Based Systems Engineering.
- Experience with Flight Dynamics.
- Previous customer‑facing roles with experience presenting to and interacting with customers.
