Materials & Processes Engineer InternAs an M&P intern, you will work with design, manufacturing, and quality to optimize materials and processes while supporting existing configurations on the production floor. Responsibilities include parameter development, material/process selection, drawing reviews, managing qualification test campaigns, interacting with and auditing external vendors, and more.
During Your Internship Experience, You Can Expect To- Gain hands‑on, real‑world experience.
- Receive mentorship and feedback from mentors and managers.
- Participate in events to learn about other parts of the organization.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
- Currently enrolled in a graduate degree program and have at least one semester or quarter of school remaining after the internship.
- Available to work full time for 15 weeks while not concurrently enrolled in coursework.
- Strong written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for mission and vision.
- Studies focused in materials engineering or materials science.
- Experience with chemical engineering.
- Experience working with thermal protection systems (TPS).
- Familiarity with composite materials.
- Lab experience.
- Experience in a production facility.
- Relevant internship/co‑op and academic project experience that demonstrates development of both technical skills relevant to the internship and leadership qualities.
- Co‑curricular engagement.
- Housing and relocation support.
- Hourly compensation: $38.00.
