Summary

The Ash Group is hiring a Supplier Quality Engineer for our client, an innovative aerospace company developing reliable and cost-effective technologies for commercial spaceflight. This is a 6-month contract working in Merritt Island, FL (Onsite) and offering a pay rate of $79 per hour based on skillset.

  • Compensation:
    Up to $79/hr W2
  • Benefits:

  • Duration: 6-month contract
What You’ll Be Doing
  • Improve quality, cost, delivery, and capacity metrics across the supply chain
  • Create, improve, and implement supplier quality and manufacturing processes
  • Review and understand supplier issues, and recommend the appropriate actions
  • Work closely with receiving, receiving inspection, supplier quality engineer, and assurance in purging suspect/non-conforming material from inventory and throughout the organization
  • Oversee and be accountable for supplier audits to ensure their ability to meet part performance, delivery, and reliability expectations.
  • Develop, analyze, and present process metrics to encourage design for manufacturability, quality, and supply chain improvements
  • Analyze and improve supplier processes for bottlenecks, yield, and rate limiters to meet throughput targets
What We’re Looking For
  • Aerospace industry experience is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
  • Must have 5–10 years of recent experience managing supplier schedules and performance as an engineer
  • Strong understanding of the aerospace product lifecycle, including engineering drawings, purchase orders, testing, quality assurance, and production processes. Understanding machining, welding, testing, etc. is a must
  • Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and urgency is a must
