We are seeking a Structural Design Engineer to support the rapid design, development, and deployment of temporary structures in a fast-paced environment. This role will work closely with internal stakeholders, vendors, and field teams to gather requirements, develop fabrication-ready design packages, and ensure structures meet safety, quality, and performance standards.
Location: Merritt Island, FL
Job Type: Contract-to-Hire
Pay Rate: $49.00 - $54.00/hour DOE
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday (Overtime as Needed)
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, clarify, and document structural and functional requirements.
- Develop and maintain fabrication-ready design packages for external vendors and contractors.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, safety standards, and site-specific conditions.
- Coordinate with vendors during fabrication to resolve RFIs, design questions, and technical issues.
- Incorporate engineering changes and design revisions in a dynamic project environment.
- Maintain revision-controlled drawings, calculations, and engineering documentation.
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical support during fabrication, construction, and installation activities.
- Evaluate structural performance, constructability, and installation requirements.
- Support field teams by resolving technical issues and implementing practical engineering solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- 3+ years of structural, civil, or mechanical engineering experience.
- Experience producing fabrication-ready design packages for vendors and contractors.
- Proficiency with CAD and engineering design software.
- Strong understanding of structural design principles, fabrication processes, and construction practices.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing project requirements.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
