Electrical & Avionics Technician

Electrical & Avionics Technician Kennedy Space Center, FL $26.43-$37.01/Hour Ability to Obtain a Secret Clearance Performs soldering, wire harness fabrication, avionics assembly, and electrical system installation in support of aerospace hardware and test articles in regulated manufacturing environments. Responsibilities:

• Perform soldering on electronic and avionics assemblies
• Fabricate, assemble, route, install, and terminate wire harnesses and electrical wiring systems
• Install and troubleshoot electrical circuits and avionics components
• Prepare and support test articles, fixtures, instrumentation, and data collection devices
• Apply organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance requirements
• Work from engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications to assemble complex systems

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ year of electrical, avionics, or wire harness assembly experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
• Experience with soldering electronic components and avionics products
• Experience installing, routing, terminating, and troubleshooting electrical wiring and harness systems
• Ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting a NASA program
• Experience in a clean room manufacturing environment
• Manufacturing experience supporting human spaceflight, spaceflight, or aircraft hardware programs
• Experience inspecting, fabricating, repairing, and modifying electrical harnesses and associated components
